The sentence "new" maps in the map cycle sounds a little bit ironic because the maps are actually quite old but np ;D
So what I want to say is that when I played rune in the morning I had the idea of testing some old maps that were in my map folder still.
I tested many maps, but the most were unplayable and boring in multy player. However there were a few maps that could be really interesting for the community.
My view fell on maps like --->
DM-Eldhaum --> (small sized map with enough space for players to get weapons etc... you will start around or within an elder's house that looks really good structured, my favourite map regarding adding maps to map cycle)
DM-Kromhel --> (Built by an old OW companion called Funzlon, maybe his finest creation, not too big not too small map)
DM-Glacier --> (Old map that is already known by many players but with a nice frosty atmosphere)
DM-CastleofDarkness --> (Built by funzlon also, safe spawnpoints and a gibbet to hang up yourself^^)
DM- Insanity(1) --> (very small cube-like map a little bit bigger then kutmap but with 4 triggers in each corner to crush enemies at their dbh spawnpoint above. One higher situated platform with an essential trigger crushing everyone below^^... the map had an other edition but with a large soundfile that had been removed with this newer edition here... the map owns:) )
DM-Oxkron --> (Logical built map also created by old team comrad funzlon, the map leads to one central point in the middle...)
DM-SigurdArenaX --> (Simple arena map where you spawn at a sigurd axe and fight then..., I remember playing this crazy map many years ago)
So now these are my thoughts, if I had to distinguish between all of those maps I would favour DM-Eldhaum, DM-Kromhel and DM-Insanity(1) ;D
Spawn points should be enough for many players in each of the mentioned maps and they're really fun also There's one little problem left... I've to send the maps to bm first and he will tell me then what textures and/or sound files belong to the map. I'll send him the beloning stuff afterwards too.
But I think the map requirements downloading them etc should not be too high.
So what do you guys think of a refreshing new map cycle with the above mentioned maps or at least with 3 of them!?
