You can't fit a i7 processor on a regular pinned motherboard, you need to change it to a newer one.

there is no socket 780, most common nowadays is 775

No 780 as far as i can see.. socket AM2+ is AMD, and a chipset doesn't seem to look like a socket either.. hah.
